Background

Extra Large Fulfillment Center (XLFCs) historically have had limited visibility on Transportation Cap Aware Picking (TCAP) and Scan, Label, Apply and Manifest (SLAM) Capacity, resulting in increased overstaffing, high unplanned backlogs, and lack of available work. During peak times, in XL volume category, customer orders are greater than transportation capacity, therefore, FCs need to staff labor on basis of Trans capacity instead of just Outbound (OB) customer orders.

Challenge
